A word from the Pastor

Friendship Baptist Church has been ministering in the Southwest District of Columbia community since 1875 from its founding as the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church to the present day. The Lord has blessed Friendship Baptist Church to be a beacon of hope in this great city. We are delighted that the spirit led you to share with us today and we hope that you will take a few moments to get to know us and let us get to know you.

We pray as you worship with us today, you will know the presence of the Lord in your life. May we all be challenged, convicted, and changed by His spirit through His word.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior, we pray that today will be the day of your salvation. We would be happy to personally share God's soul saving and life changing grace with you.

Thank you for visiting. May God Bless you and direct your life in service to Him.
